A Deep Field of Golden Opportunities
This lovely colt by exciting young sire Deep Field has recently returned from our breaker Ray Matthews, who had nothing but praise for the two-year-old. To be trained by Levi Kavanagh, he has settled into his first preparation at Flemington like a seasoned racehorse. Purchased from the Inglis Classic sale earlier this year, there are still opportunities available.
Deep Field was the fastest son of Northern Meteor and set a track record at Canterbury over a distance of 1100m. He won five races straight, by a combined margin of 24 lengths, and also set a class record in his first start.
With his first crop of youngsters hitting the track last season, the progeny of Deep Field found plenty of success on the track resulting in him being named Runner-up Champion First Season Sire. Of his 21 winners they were headlined by Dig Deep (winning the G2 Karrakatta Plate) and Cosmic Force (winning G3 Pago Pago Plate but also running second in the G2 Skyline Stakes and the Listed Darley Lonhro Plate). Deep Field will certainly be a desirable sire at the sales next year and I am predicting his progeny will be much more expensive in the future.
The colt is out of the mare Our Dreaming who won between the distances of 1100m and 1300m, and from a family of horses that ran up to 1400m – 1600m. He should be able to sprint as a youngster and then get out to a bit further as he matures. Our Dreaming is from a great family with plenty of black type highlighted by relations Bonaria (won G1 Myer Classic 1600m at Flemington) and Legally Bay, a G1 performer but better known for being the mother of Merchant Navy (G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes and G1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes).
Purchased for $75,000 + GST there are opportunities available at the prices below which are all inclusive up to the end of July 2019:
5% Share - $5,065.00
10% Share - $10,130.00
Including Insurance, Breaking-In, Inglis Race Series Nomination, Sales and Veterinary Expenses
Please get in touch if you would like to visit the stable to have a look at him or if you have any questions. Be quick to confirm your share as this horse should not last long after the recent success the sire has enjoyed.
