Levi's training double

Smart Stiletto and Blinky O’Reilly win their respective races at Wodonga giving Levi Kavanagh his first training double.

Smart Stiletto, owned by a group of ladies including Levi’s mother Isobel and wife Cara, and some of their friends clocked up her third country win with Jockey Craig Robertson back on board.

Keeping it in the family, Levi’s brother-in-law Michael who rides the daughter of Smart Missile in her trackwork, made his strapping debut and was also over the moon strapping his first winner.

Bred by astute breeder, Rick Jamieson of Gilgai Farm, Smart Stiletto will race again before heading to Adelaide to run in the Happy Trails Bonus Series at Morphettville to hopefully gain a place in the final to be held at the end of next month.

Blinky O’Reilly has always showed a lot of promise in his trackwork and Levi couldn’t be happier that he finally put it together on the track. His rider Luke Currie was impressed with how he raced and agrees that he is probably looking for more distance considering the way he finished off.

His group of very patient owners were extremely happy and look forward to the next few runs from the son of Caulfield Cup winner Master O’Reilly.
