Schumacher an all the way winner at Sandown

Lightly raced five-year-old Schumacher notched his fifth win on Wednesday with a courageous all the way win at Sandown over 1200 metres.

Partnered by three time Melbourne Cup winning jockey Glen Boss Schumacher flew the gates and led his rivals a merry chase and when Charles In Charge loomed large in the straight little Schumacher kicked again and went on to record a half length win.

Schumacher has now won five of his fourteen starts and been placed on a further three occasions for prizemoney of $100,855.

A son of the AJC Sires' Produce Stakes winner Excites, Schumacher was bred by stable client Debra Lynch from her Lion Hunter mare Chasseresse.

Debra in turn leases the horse to Levi Kavanagh who races the gelding with a group of friends headed by Flemington Equine Clinics Dr. Tom Brennan.
